Holiday Wishes
Re:
THE BASICS: write a Christmas/Holiday wish list. It can be any 10 wishes you'd like to have granted, no matter what they are. Possible or seemingly impossible. People look and grant the wishes if they can. It's not about "OMFG PRESENTS", it's about making someone else's holiday a little brighter by giving. Personally, I get more out of giving than receiving sometimes. It's just a good feeling to give.
STEP ONE** Make a post in your journal. The post should contain your list of 10 holiday wishes. The wishes can be anything at all, from simple and fun ("I'd love a Snape/Hermione icon that's just for me") to medium ("I wish for _____ on DVD") to really big ("All I want for Christmas is a new car/computer/house/TV.") The important thing is, make sure these wishes are things you really, truly want.
** If you wish for real possible things, make sure you include some sort of contact info in your post, whether it's your address or just your email address where Santa (or one of his elves) could get in touch with you. In this case, you can always just note someone on dA for the sake of privacy.
** Make sure you post some version of these guidelines in your journal, so that others can join in and participate to spread the holiday joy!
STEP TWO** Surf this forum ( [link] ) and browse the lists. Here's the important part:
** If you see a wish you can grant, and it's in your heart to do so, make someone's wish come true. Sometimes someone's trash is another's treasure, and if you have a leather jacket you don't want or a gift certificate you won't use--or even know where you could get someone's dream purebred Basset Hound for free--do it.
** You needn't spend money on these wishes unless you want to. The point isn't to put people out, it's to provide everyone a chance to be someone else's holiday elf--to spread the joy. Gifts can be made anonymously or not--it's your call.
There are no rules with this project, no guarantees, and no strings attached. Just...wish, and it might come true. Give, and you might receive. And you'll have the joy of knowing you made someone's holiday special.
My Wishes1. Alan Rickman's autograph.

2. A new icon. I've been wanting a new dA icon for a long time but every time I try to make one I can't animate it properly or shrink it down when I do get it done. I just want an icon that screams 'me' and that people will know who it is by seeing the icon without reading the name.
3. A new laptop. Not just because I have college coming up, but also because I reaaaaaaaaaallly want to be able to play the Sims3 just ONCE without it crashing.
4. A deviantart club mentor! I have what I believe to be is a great, original idea for an OC club on deviantart and I have absolutely no idea how to go about running a club. I would love for someone with experience to guide me a little bit, as this is an idea I've had for months and I'd love to get it going.
5. Some things off of Etsy I've been really, really wanting. They range from expensive to really cheap. Some stuff is only 5 dollars, but my family is going through a lot right now and I can't even spare five dollars for any of these. Here's the list, it's long but I tried to give Santa's Elves a lot to choose from:
[link][link]Anything from here:
[link][link][link][link][link][link][link][link][link][link][link][link][link][link][link][link][link][link][link]If you'd like to buy me something from Etsy but none of those things catches your eye, I like: Halloween things (Halloween is my most favoritest holiday and I adore Autumn.), Cupcakes, Zombies, Vintage/Victorian stuff, and coffee related items. (Coffee charms, ect.)
I also would love baretts for my hair. I have poofy hair and tend to just stick a headband in it and go. I'd love some cute clips or scrunchies or something I can use in my hair.
6. I know I already mentioned Halloween before, but it's worth a second mention. I really, really love Halloween. It has a special symbolism for me. My anxiety disorder is so bad sometimes I'm afraid to leave the house, but on Halloween I can get all dressed up and walk the streets at night unafraid because it's me whose doing the scaring. I decided to do my whole room decor in Halloween decorations, so if you have any old decorations laying around that I could use for my room I would love that. Skeletons, bones, bats, spiders, ect. Even just autumn-y things like pumpkins or leafy things.
7. Fabric/yarn/jewlery/art supplies. Lately I feel like I can do anything with my art, and have this sudden inspiration. Funds, however, are very very low right now and there is not way I'll be buying any fabric or anything anytime soon. Even if it's just an old pattern or a scrap of fabric already cut from. I've already made a wonderful high-waisted pencil skirt out of rejected fabric (those little bundles at Joann's that aren't quite a yard so they get tossed in the 'extras' bin on super discount.). Even if it's just patches or just a little bit of chain, in these hard economic times I'm learning how I can do a lot with a little.
8. I collect coins/currency. I've got six different US nickles, a few different pennies and I'm working on state quarters. I also have coins from Cuba, Jamaca, Spain, Canada, France, Mexico, and a few other places. I'm not asking for currency, because I really doubt I'd get any, but more like a container to put my collection in. Right now they're resting in a cup and they get dusty every now and then. I would really like a nice little box or case or something I could stick them in so they stay in good condition.
9. Fanart. What artist doesn't like fanart of their characters? lol. I know, currently, I don't have any reaaaal references up, but if someone wanted to draw me fanart I have bunches upon bunches of info and doodles I could toss at you. I have a wide range of characters to choose from, each with a unique personality. If anyone is interested at all, let me know and I'd be happy to fling my list at you. If you decided to draw one from my ever-growing list then I can provide you with more information than you will ever need.
10. Snow. I live in Florida, and this really seems like the impossible dream, but I'm going to wish for it still. Just a light, simple dust of snow.
It was reaaaallly hard for me to pick ten things. I would have been happy to stop at three, lol. Every Christmas I find it harder and harder to think of things that I would like for myself, and instead think of how I can make Christmas better for others.
But that's a good thing.

Every end of a time is another begun. You understand, mechanical hands are the ruler of everything, ah~ the ruler of everything, ah~, I'm the ruler of everything, in the end.
